New Members Camps

There are 2 new members camps held each year.

The first, held in Hazelwood in Semester 1, is one of the major events of the year aimed at attracting New Member to the club and showing them what its all about.

The second, held at Hazelwood in Semester 2, is for those people too slack to join up at the beginning of the year or those who have started mid-year.Despite being aimed at New Members these camp have proven to be so huge that they continue to attract members past and present who want their own share of the action.

Cost: Approx $130 for the weekend

Numbers: Normally capped at 50ppl but we run with another uni so 100-110 ppl all up

Time: Mid March and Mid September

Moomba Maniacal Duck Tour

A joint event involving members, both past and present, of all universityWaterski &Wakeboard clubs.Held each March it is an opportunity to come along and witness some of the worlds best skiing from the banks of the Yarra river. Also participate in the numerous nighttime shenanigans, which can only come with a large group of Crazily dressed University students (aka.‘Ducks’) moving around Melbourne in search of water.

Cost: Free, pay for yourself, can buy duck tour T-Shirts etc

Time: Labour Day Long Weekend

Numbers: over 50ppl each year turn up for the tour

Booze Cruise

A Typical Clubs event, this one is usually held in conjuction with the Swinburne University Snow Squad (SUSS) and is renowned for being a fantastic night of fun and games and great opportunity to mingle with other Swinburne Students.

Cost: generally $60 with everything included

Time: Normally Anzac eve

Numbers: Boat limit is 330 and we normally come close to selling out

Waterski and Wakeboard Ball

Another joint event involving members, both past and present, of all universityWaterski &Wakeboard clubs.Held in August or September it is an opportunity to dress in your best and party in style with your new friends from the UniversityWaterski &Wakeboard crew.
A top night out and not to missed!

Cost: generally around $75

Time: June each year

Numbers: approx 120 ppl

Boatraces

An awesome social event aimed at testing ones skills and team spirit off the water.This event has, over the years, become highly competitive and now attracts large crowds and teams entering from other Universities around Melbourne.

Cost: Generally $40

Time: September each year

Numbers: approx 75
